David founded CHANGE lead ® to bring his experiences together to help others. CHANGE lead ® was first incepted in 2006 when he registered the domain.
He believes good people within organisations have the potential to be great, their current knowledge combined with digital fundamentals will contribute to a business truly realising its potential. His international career has spanned multiple industries much of it involving transformation and the next thing of something. David lived in London from 2001 to 2010 and is now based in Melbourne. His career has had varied roles as a CIO, Digital and Technology Executive in Construction and Engineering (John Holland), Professional Services (KPMG), Technology (Microsoft), Management Consulting (IBM and Cap-Gemini) and Financial Services (Prudential UK and CBA).
In 2019 he authored DIGITAL IS EVERYONE’S BUSINESS | A Guide to Transition, the book includes testimonials from fourteen CXO leaders. He co-authored “Finding A Better Way” published in 2021, the book explores old and new ideas across country, workplace, community and family. David is also an opinion columnist for CEOWORLD Magazine.
Exceptionally committed to learning, he prides himself on learning from others, including his clients. David’s career began unorthodoxly with him leaving high school at sixteen, having not completed his high-school certificate. He returned to formal education in his twenties, ultimately gaining under- and post-graduate (MBA) qualifications. In 2018, he completed IMD and MIT’s “Driving Strategic Innovation” in Switzerland.
Since 2015, he has been a member of the School of Business, Law and Entrepreneurship Industry Advisory Board and Adjunct Professor at Swinburne University of Technology. In 2019 David was invited to chair their Course Advisory Committee for the BBIT and BABIT formally known as the industry acknowledged Bachelor of Information Technology (BIT), and Bachelor of Accounting and Information Systems (BAIS).
In 2016 David was one of ComputerWorld’s global Premier Technology Leaders.
